Raleigh, NC - Buck Jones Water Line Replacements

The Project consists generally of the following major items:

The installation of approximately 9,285 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main in neighborhood streets off Buck Jones Road consisting of Barclay Drive, S Lakeside Drive, Stockton Drive, Norman Place, and Jeffries Street and corresponding abandonment of existing 2” to 6” cast iron main along the same corridor. The work includes replacement of existing hydrants, reconnection of intersecting mains, replacement of water services, and associated paving, restoration, and traffic control to provide a complete and operable water system. Additionally, the project includes replacement of portions of the sanitary sewer system along the corridor totaling approximately 3,970 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron gravity sewer and approximately 4,480 linear feet of 8-inch cured in place pipe liner. The project has an alternate bid for the use of 8-inch UV lining for a length of approximately 4,480 linear feet as a replacement for water or steam cured CIPP lining in the base bid.
