Gaston County, NC - RFQ - Professional Engineering Services - South Point Landing

The delivery method for the Project will be Design-Bid-Build. The selected engineer will be required to provide a full range of design services for a fully usable, operational, and code compliant facility that satisfies the County’s project requirements, including but not limited to:

*Site and utility design for pre-fab guard building;
*Design for widening of existing entrance to the park;
*Boundary, utility, and topographical survey;
*Conducting regular meetings with appropriate County stakeholders;
*Coordination with City of Belmont and Duke Energy for utility connections;
*Coordination with pre-fab manufacturer for specs;
*Preparing detailed cost estimates;
*Preparing construction documents for permitting and bidding;
*Submitting for permits required for compliance with local, state and federal requirements;
*Preparing a construction phasing plan to meet the County’s needs;
*Bidding administration;
*Construction administration including pre-fab building installation and connections to utilities;
*Special Inspections and Material Testing; and
*Closeout

The selected firm will be required to participate in a collaborative process and to work with the County and its overall Project team. The Engineer may also be asked to prepare further drawings, renderings, and other materials for presentation of the Project to other entities. Sub-consultants will be allowed as part of the submittal packet.
