North Charleston (SC) Sewer District - Limited Structural Repairs and Rehabilitation Sludge Thickener Building at the Felix C. Davis WWTP

North Charleston Sewer District is seeking to perform Limited Structural Repairs and Rehabilitation to the Sludge Thickener Building at Felix C. Davis Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Sludge Thickener Building was originally constructed in the mid 1970’s. The structural systems consist primarily of cast-in-place concrete walls and diaphragms below grade. The above ground portion of the structure consists of cast-in-place concrete beams and columns with precast double tee roof slabs. The exterior walls are infill masonry walls clad with brick veneer. The goal of this project is to repair and rehabilitate the exposed cast-in-place concrete beams and columns and the precast double tee roof.

Bidders must deposit security with all bids. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner and shall be for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Information for Bidders.

No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law (South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999, Chapter 11, Sections 40-11-10 through 40-11-428).

Contractors shall have a Building (BD) classification with a minimum Group #4 project/dollar limitation.

No bidder may withdraw the bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening and thereof.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
