Gaston County, NC - RFQ - IT Data Center Relocation

The delivery method for the Project will be Design-Bid-Build. The selected Architect will be required to provide a full range of design services for a fully usable, operational, and code compliant facility that satisfies the County’s project requirements, including but not limited to:

• Stakeholder management
• Submitting for permits required for compliance with local, state and federal requirements;
• Conducting regular meetings with appropriate County and City personnel;
• Preparing a construction phasing plan to meet the County’s specific purchase and relocation of equipment, storage, and construction needs;
• Preparing contract documents for bidding and permitting;
• Preparing detailed cost estimates;
• Bidding administration;
• Special Inspections and Material Testing; and
• Construction administration.

The selected firm will be required to participate in a collaborative process and to work with the County and its overall Project team. The Architect may also be asked to prepare further drawings, renderings, and other materials for presentation of the Project to other entities.

The County reserves the right to cancel this RFQ for any reason without any liability or to waive any irregularities at their discretion. Please note that the overall Statement of Qualifications / Response should be limited to a maximum of 20 pages one sided, or 10 pages two sided, not including the cover and back pages.
