Gaston County - Request for Qualifications for Professional Architectural & Engineering Services

The County owns approximately 6 Acres within the City limits of Gastonia. The property is zoned O-1. The selected Architect/Engineer Team will be required to provide a full range of engineering site design and architectural building design services for a fully usable, operational, and code compliant development that satisfies the County’s project requirements, including but not limited to:

• Stakeholder management;
• Conducting regular meetings with appropriate County and City personnel;
• Topography and boundary survey;
• Geotechnical and environmental services;
• Site design and layout including private streets and utilities;
• Design of off-site improvements, including a possible Traffic Impact Analysis;
• Storm water design;
• Schematic design;
• Design development;
• Providing architectural alternatives for the structure(s);
• Preparing contract documents and specifications for bidding;
• Bidding administration;
• Submitting for permits required for compliance with local, state and federal requirements;
• Preparing detailed cost estimates;
• Preparing a construction phasing plan if necessary to meet the County’s needs;
• Construction administration;
• Special Inspections and Material Testing;
and • Project Closeout.
