Mooresville, NC - RFQ from licensed and experienced firms in North Carolina, for the Design-Build conversion of athletic turf fields.

Pursuant with State of North Carolina Statute § 143-128.1A, The Town of Mooresville is soliciting requests for qualifications from licensed and experienced firms in North Carolina, for the Design-Build conversion of athletic turf fields Experienced and licensed firms responding to this Request for Qualifications, who satisfy the stated criteria shall be evaluated by Mooresville according to the criteria identified in this Request for Qualifications. The highest qualified firm will be identified, and Town of Mooresville will begin negotiations with the highest-ranked builder.

* The project is located at Mazeppa Park and will center around the conversion of existing grass fields to Shaw Legion HP 2.0 synthetic turf system
* The scope includes professional stormwater design services along with construction, construction contracting and construction administration for the conversion of the 186,200 square feet area
* The design/build project has an estimated budget of $1,600,000
* The project has an anticipated completion date of 9/1/2022
* Submissions must include a list of all licensed agencies and firms that will be part of the project including designers, contractors, and subcontractors.

The Design-Builders Scope of Work

1. Pre-construction project planning including assistance in the preparation of a construction schedule and schedule of values, to include Guaranteed Maximum Price prior to construction agreement.

2. Preparing site and design plans in accordance with applicable building standards/codes, CCS standards and guidelines, to include:
 • Site Design: demolition and clearing plans, grading and drainage plans, sedimentation and erosion control plans, survey, layout and staking plans, elevations and sections, construction details, concrete curb, netting, fencing, landscape and planting plans and details

3. All phases of construction and construction contracting including but not limited to survey, permitting, site work and erosion control, installation of all elements of stormwater management required, excavation, proof roll, installation of HDPE drains for new turf and associated tie-ins, supply and installation of subbase, fabric, concrete curb, nailers, stone base, installation of Shaw Legion HP 2.0 turf and infill, permanent game lines, provide and install 1750 Linear feet of 4’ high black vinyl coated fence, perimeter ball stop netting, required rails, posts, gates, concrete footings, construction reporting and observation including conferences, site observations and meetings.

4. Project closeout, establishment of warranties, and guarantees.
