Mooresville, NC - Request For Qualifications For Professional Engineering Services
The Town owns, operates and maintains two raw water pump stations, two water treatment plants and one wastewater treatment plant that serve approximately 18,000 customer accounts in Mooresville and southern Iredell County. Capital improvements are anticipated at all facilities in the coming years to create capacity in specific areas (for example clearwell storage or residuals management), improve reliability or replace aging equipment.
The Town has the need for consulting engineers to assist with various maintenance, repair and/or improvement projects related to treatment plant infrastructure. These projects may be small or large in scope and may be immediate in terms of need. The following is a general description of the tasks that may be required. This is not intended to be all-inclusive, nor is it guaranteed that all of the tasks will be utilized under every contract. A detailed Scope of Services will be negotiated on a project-by-project basis.
Services may include:
* Perform necessary services from preliminary engineering, design, specification development, project bidding, through construction management and inspection
* Project Management
* On-call consulting
* Permitting and compliance with local, state and federal requirements
* Conduct process and treatability studies
* System planning
* Condition assessments
* Regulatory/process control
* Troubleshooting and hydraulic analysis
* Structural analysis and design
* Electrical-power distribution, generation, and controls (up to and including 4160v)
* Electrical – Arc Flash and Coordination Studies
* Instrumentation and Controls/SCADA
* Opinions of probable cost
* Change order estimating and negotiation
* Scheduling
* Surveying
* Vibration analysis
Please note that the Town reserves the right to perform some or all services in-house for any project as it deems appropriate. The Town reserves the right to issue specific Requests for Proposals separately for any project at its discretion.
