Union County, NC - FY20 Short Water Line Extension Phase 4 (20190511.00)

The Project consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor for installation of approximately 2,460 total LF of 2-inch water main, 7,640 LF 6-inch water main, 1,200 LF 8-inch water main, 640 LF 12-inch water main, and related appurtenances on Foxwood Drive, New Town Road, Deerwood Court, Winding Lane, Black Oak Lane, Stirrup court, Horseshoe Bend, Rockridge Pass, Stallion Court, Greenbrook Parkway, and Gatewood Lane within Union County.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis.

Bid Info:   Sealed Bids for the construction of the FY20 SHORT WATER LINE EXTENSIONS – Phase 4 will be received by Union County, at 500 N. Main Street, Suite 709, Monroe, North Carolina 28112, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. This public bid opening will be conducted outdoors, in the front entrance area of the Union County Government Center address listed above. If you plan to attend the bid opening, social distancing rules apply.

*On May 13, 2021, beginning at 1:30 PM local time, bids will be received by the Union County Procurement Department at the bid opening location, outdoors in the front entrance area of the Union County Government Center at 500 North Main Street, Monroe, NC 28112.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing via email to Corey Brooks, Procurement Specialist at corey.brooks@unioncountync.gov. Deadline for questions is 5pm on May 4, 2021. The Procurement representative will secure applicable answers from WK Dickson & Co., Inc. and/or Union County staff accordingly. If needed an addendum will be issued.

Bidders must have a license to do work as a general contractor in the State of North Carolina, as set forth under Article 1 of Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. The Contractor’s North Carolina License number shall be designated on the outside of the envelope containing the bid. Bidders are required to comply with the non-collusion requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Union County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
