Jamestown, NC - Guilford Technical Community College - Jamestown Central Plant East Phase 1
The project consists of a new central utility plant building for heating hot water and chilled water distribution to three existing buildings, installation of a new Owner-Furnished natural gas powered electric generator and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Phase 1 work includes a new pre-engineered metal building and site work associated with new underground thermal utility piping. Existing air-cooled chiller piping and control wiring to Davis Hall will be interrupted and reconnected through the new plant building. Phase 1 will complete site work needed to enable installation of new air-cooled chiller, boilers, pumps, and hydronic accessories in future Phase 2. Electrical work in Phase 1 will include installation of a new Owner-Furnished generator, relocation of an existing automatic transer switch (ATS), new outdoor switchgear, and refeeding of electrical service to existing buildings Service Careers and James Williams Hall. Selected Phase 2 drawings are included for informational purposes to coordinate work in Phase 1. Bids will be received for single prime contract type only. All proposals shall be lump sum.
