North Charleston (SC) Sewer District - Roof Covering Replacements - Dewatering Building and Blended Sludge Storage Building

North Charleston Sewer District is seeking to replace the existing roof coverings on the Dewatering Building and on the Blended Sludge Storage Building at the Felix C. Davis WWTP located at 1000 Herbert Street, North Charleston, SC. The original portion of the Dewatering Building was constructed in the mid to late 1960’s with two subsequent additions in the mid to late 1980’s. The structural roof systems of the Dewatering Building consist of steel decking supported by structural steel framing. The Blended Sludge Storage Building was originally constructed in the late 1980’s. The structural roof system of the Blended Sludge Storage Building consists of a cast-in-place concrete roof slab. The goal of this project is to remove and replace the existing modified bitumen roof coverings and roof insulation on the Dewatering Building and on the Blended Sludge Storage Building with new Thermoplastic Polyolefin Roofs over new roof insulation.
