Mooresville, NC - Request for Qualifications - Dog Park

• The park will be approximately 1.72 acres and the chosen site is located at Cornelius Park.
• The scope includes but may not be limited to professional, civil, structural, electrical, plumbing, and landscape design services along with bidding and construction administration for the park.
• The design portion of this project has an anticipated completion date of 8/1/2020
• Conceptual documents have been made and will be available for use in preparation of proposals.
• A site visit will be held on 3/26/2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Mooresville Public Operations Facility located at 2523 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville NC, 28117 for all interested firms to ask questions of Project Leadership and visit the site.
• Submissions must include a list of all licensed agencies and firms that will be part of the project including all designers and personnel.

The Designer Scope of Work
1. Pre-construction project planning including assistance in the preparation of a schedule, preliminary cost estimate and project renderings.
2. Preparing site, architectural structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical design plans in accordance with applicable building standards/codes, CCS standards and guidelines, to include: • Site Design: demolition and clearing plans, grading and drainage plans, sedimentation and erosion control plans, layout and staking plans, elevations and sections, construction details, lighting and signage, landscape and planting plans and details • Architecture Design: elevation elements including materials and colors, foundation, structural and roof systems
3. Development and refinement of cost estimates and project schedules.
4. All phases of construction reporting and observation including conferences and site meetings.
5. Project closeout, establishment of warranties, and guarantees.

Pursuant with State of North Carolina Statute § 143-64.31, The Town of Mooresville is soliciting requests for qualifications from licensed and experienced firms in North Carolina, for the design of a Dog Park. The overarching goal of this project is to provide the Town of Mooresville with Design services resulting in permitted construction documents and construction observation services during construction. Design entities responding to this Request for Qualifications who satisfy the stated criteria shall be evaluated by The Town of Mooresville according to the criteria identified in this Request for Qualifications. The most qualified designer will be identified, and a proposal requested. The Town has a prepared scope of work, conceptual basis documents, and will work with the Design firm to maximize efficiency and will provide input without an undue level of owner oversight.
