Landrum, SC - Landrum Vaughn Creek Raw Waterline Replacement Project (20190108.00.GV)

Work of the project will include the installation of approximately 8,850-linear of ductile iron pipe from their Vaughn Creek Raw Water Pump Station near the intersection of West Lakeshore Drive and East Lakeshore Drive to Spartanburg Water’s Plant located on Ridgetop Road. The project will include two (2) connections to the existing infrastructure: (1) one connection adjacent to the raw water pumping station and (2) one at the Ridgetop Road Water Treatment Plant. The work will include two (2) small open cut creek crossings and one (1) wetlands crossings. The new water line will be constructed parallel to the existing raw water line. Construction will not interrupt the plants operation and it is not anticipated that by-pass pumping will be required or included in the work. In addition to the installation of the 8-inch water line, a 2-inch Schedule 470 PVC conduit for future communications lines will be included under the work of the contract. The project is separated in two (2) divisions for the purposes of funding and will be awarded to a single contractor.

Work defined as Division 1 of the Contract will include the construction of the 8-inch raw water main. The Contract will allow for a period of 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed to reach Substantial Completion of all work included in Division 1. Work defined as Division 2 of the Contract will include the construction of the 2-inch communications conduit. The Contract will allow for a period of 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed to reach Substantial Completion of all work included in Division 2.
