Chapel Hill, NC - UNC Parking Deck Lighting Safety Upgrades

The scope of work includes the following services under the direction of Design & Construction Services and Devita Inc. Contractor shall provide a HVAC system upgrade to the one story, approx. 44,800 square foot, mixed office and classroom Building 200, located on the campus of Montgomery Community College. The construction work will consist of demolition work, replacement of 2 air cooled chillers, 4 room mounted air handlers, one boiler, 4 hydronic pumps, 39 variable volume terminal units and various required air and waterside accessories.

PreBid Info:   A public pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders on February 28 at 9:00 in the lower level of the Ram’s Head Deck and from there go to the Jackson Deck, Business School Deck, and finally Cobb Deck. The meeting will address project specific questions, issues, bidding procedures and bid forms and items particular to the nature of the demolition project. Afterwards contractors will be permitted to walk through the decks.

Sealed proposals will be received by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the Magnolia Conference Room, Giles Horny Building, 103 Airport Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27599 until 2:00 pm on March 14, 2109 and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment.

Bids will be received for single prime bid contract. All proposals will be lump sum. Contractors shall carry licensing as a general classification for General Contractor.

The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.
