North Charleston SC - Garco & Empire Streetscape Plan

Garco Park is a 42 acre site located in the City of North Charleston, Charleston County, and it is bound by Chateau Avenue, O’Hear Avenue, Empire Avenue, Virginia Avenue, and the North Charleston Terminal Company. Private development by the Beach Company proposes to construct public roads, a residential apartment site, and various commercial developments. New roadway, utility relocation, and drainage improvements will be constructed as necessary to serve the streetscape project. This report is being prepared in support of the City of North Charleston’s efforts to improve the roadway sections to O’Hear Avenue at its terminus at E. Montague Ave as well as Empire Avenue between O’Hear Avenue and its terminus with Virginia Ave. Empire Avenue is a two-lane paved road between Virginia Avenue to the east and O’Hear Avenue to the west. Currently the road drains through grass swales to a series of grate inlets located within the existing pavement. O’Hear Avenue is a two-lane road located between E. Montague Ave to the south and Empire Ave to the north with on-street parking and narrow sidewalks located on each side of the roadway. Similar to Empire Ave, the road drains to existing grate inlets located within the paved section of the roadway.

Purchase of entire bid set includes all plans and specifications, including any addenda released at time of order. Planholders will be notified by email when future addenda are issued and it will be the responsibility of each plan holder to download the addenda. Shipping, if required, will be charged to each order.

Online orders are filled within 1-2 business days.

ADDENDA DISTRIBUTION

Existing planholders will be notified by email upon the release of any addenda. Failure to order bid sets through Duncan-Parnell may prevent you from being notified of issued addenda. Printed copies of addendum will be available at no additional charge. Shipping, if required will be charged. Contact your local Duncan-Parnell office to request a printed set of addenda files. Addenda notifications are sent via email from the mail account of “addendaNotification@dpibidroom.com” and could be flagged as spam by your company network firewall.
