The project consists of the following: construction of upgrades to an existing wastewater treatment plant in accordance with the permitted plans, specifications and calculations which include:

1. Purchase and installation of two (2) disinfection units and containment structure.
2. Refurbish effluent pump station.
3. Purchase and installation of diesel driven backup pump at the existing effluent pump station.
4. Existing UV demolition.

Bid Info:   Sealed bids for the sewer extension project known as the Page Creek WWTP Modifications, will be received by the Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District (hereinafter called the “Owner”) at the Spartanburg Water Engineering Department, 175 N. Liberty Street, Spartanburg, South Carolina. At that time and place, bids will be opened and the amount of each bid, together with the name of each bidder, shall be announced.

Questions should be directed to the attention of Blake Rodgers. To receive a response, which will be distributed to all plan-holders of record, questions must be received prior to 5:00 p.m. on June 6, 2023.

A satisfactory Bid Bond provided by an acceptable surety (or the cash equivalent) in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities in the bidding.

Performance and payment bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. The bonds must be secured by cash or must be issued by a surety company licensed in the State of South Carolina with an "A" minimum rating of performance as stated in the most current publication of "Best Key Rating Guide, Property Liability."

Certificates of insurance naming the Owner as an additional insured and with limits as noted in the bid documents will be required.

Contractors submitting bids shall be properly licensed in the State of South Carolina to bid and perform the work on which the bid is submitted at the date of the bid.

It is the policy of Spartanburg Water that local minority and women owned enterprises (MWBE) shall be afforded the opportunity to participate fully in the overall procurement of Spartanburg Water. This is an equal opportunity selection.
