High Point, NC - Eastside WWTP UV Disinfection Upgrade & Primary Clarifier Pump Station Improvements

Modify and repair an abandoned chlorine contact tank as required for new UV disinfection equipment. Furnish, install, test, and startup ultraviolet (UV) disinfection equipment. Construct and install a new drain pump station for the Primary Clarifiers along with a new discharge force main for the station into nearby basin. Install new plant drain piping. Reroute the existing plant drain piping to new wetwell. Plug and demolish the existing piping related to the plant drain system. Work includes but is not limited to excavation, backfill, pipe install, painting, equipment suppling and install for new pumps, electrical conduit, wiring and additional appurtenances as required for the successful operation of the new UV System and Primary Clarifier Drain Pumping Station. Provide temporary piping, valves and instrumentation as required to maintain continuous operation of the treatment plant during construction.

City staff will be available to discuss the project and answer pertinent questions including MWBE requirements. All prospective bidders are urged and cautioned to attend so as to prepare bids based upon a full understanding of project specifications.
