Kernersville, NC - Thomas Drake Court Culvert Replacement (20180394.00.RA)

The Project includes the following Work in the Base Bid:

1. The Thomas Drake Court Culvert Replacement project includes but is not limited to the following:
 a. Replacement of an existing 60-inch Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) culvert under Thomas Drake Court with a proposed 60-inch Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP).
 b. Streambank grading and stabilization plantings.
 c. Custom Cast-in-place drainage structures.
 d. Asphalt removal and replacement.
 e. Boulder toe wall construction with associated streambank stabilization grading.
 f. Traffic Control.
 g. Sewer Main replacement.

The project also has two Bid Alternates that are not shown on the Released for Bidding Plan set. These alternates generally include reductions in scope and material quantities from the Base Bid. The lowest responsible bidder will be selected based on Base Bid total only. Should the Town wish to move forward with one of the bid alternates after the lowest responsible bidder is selected, a revised Released for Construction Plan set indicating the selected bid alternate will be provided to the contractor prior to the Pre-construction meeting.

PreBid Info:   A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held at Town of Kernersville, Public Services Main Building – Training Room, 509 Michael Street, Kernersville, NC 27284. Use lower parking lot located on the backside of the building; flags are on the frontside. Signs will be located at the entrance indicating where to park. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
