The Project consists of constructing approximately 9,500 linear feet of 20-inch water main with associated appurtenances within easements and roadway rights-of-way and abandoning-in-place approximately 1,150-LF of 6-inch water main. This project includes installing Owner supplied materials as outlined within these specifications.

PreBid Info:   A pre-bid conference will be held at the Lancaster County Water and Sewer District office, 1400 Pageland Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

Bid Info:   Sealed Bids for the construction of the Hwy 521 20-inch Transmission Main PH 3 will be received, by the Lancaster County Water and Sewer District at their office located at 1400 Pageland Highway, Lancaster, SC 29720, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to Timothy Kiser, P.E., Professional Engineer. Outside of the envelope must be marked “Bid for Hwy 521 20-inch Transmission Main PH 3”. Envelope must also bear, on the outside, the name of the bidder, bidder’s address, and bidder’s license number. All bids must be made on blank forms provided and included in the bound document or as provided by Addendum prior to the bid.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.

No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of 60 days.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and technicalities.
