REBID - Union County, NC - Parkwood Middle School Renovations

Base bid work includes ceiling replacement, and HVAC and electrical upgrades to the majority of the building. Alternate bid work includes complete renovations to classroom pod #1.

Sealed bids for the Parkwood Middle School Renovations will be received no later than 10:00 am on October 5, 2022, in the UCPS Facility Department, 201 Venus Street, Monroe, NC 28112, and thereafter opened and publicly read aloud. The sealed envelope must reference Company Name, Address, and Bid Number. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after bid due date. The Owner reserves the right to reject each and every bid and to waive informalities in bidding.

The work is to be constructed under a Single Prime Contract. Contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades. The extent of the work is shown on the drawings and specified in the project manual.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a bind bond in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the proposal and executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by GS 143-129, State of North Carolina. If the successful bidder fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the Owner will retain the above deposit. Company checks will not be accepted.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to accept any proposal as submitted, and to waive any formalities.
