REBID - Gastonia, NC - East Franklin Blvd. / Gaston Mall Drive Median Improvements
The surface mounted concrete island median located along US 29/74 on East Franklin Blvd at Gaston Mall Dr. currently holds a lot traffic at the left turn lane. The removal of the existing ± 505 square yards of the surface mounted concrete median will allow for the vehicle storage length to be extended, for a proposed ± 400 feet with a ± 180 feet of lane taper to improve the congestion turning left at Gaston Mall Dr. For the improvements of this concrete island the City of Gastonia will be working alongside with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
