Mt. Pleassant, SC - Lucy Garrett Beckham High School Modular Classrooms – Outside Utility Package

This Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, provide the infrastructure, and make tie in connection to the utility company power, water, and sewer services. In addition, provide underground conduits and handholes for the fire alarm, security alarm, and IT conduits from Eight New Modular Classrooms and one Restroom Facility provided by Modular Genius. The new modular unit’s infrastructure will be connected to the existing Lucy Beckham High School facility.

1. This scope will also include demolition of three electrical light poles and concrete bases, select curb and gutter, and any existing concrete flatwork associated with the installation of the utility infrastructure.
2. Contractor shall maintain the construction entrances. This shall include (but not necessarily be limited to) grading, filling of ruts and potholes, and maintaining proper drainage. Maintenance of entry gates shall also be the contractor’s responsibility. Adjacent public streets, sidewalks, curbs, and parking lots shall be swept, scraped, washed and kept clean daily (more often as necessary) throughout all operations.
3. Contractor to schedule his work in accordance with all noise ordinances per the authority having jurisdiction.
4. Contractor is responsible for grounds maintenance along the perimeter fence.
5. Contractor shall provide a project specific safety plan prior to mobilization.

The Owner has retained the services of a Program Manager to represent the Owner's interest during the construction of the work.

Bid Info:	Sealed bids for the Lucy Garrett Beckham High School Modular Classrooms – Outside Utility Package (Solicitation No. 22-CMG-B-017) will be received from qualified General Contractors, properly licensed under the laws of the State of South Carolina, opened and read aloud by the Owner and Program Manager at the Office of Cumming Management Group, Inc., 3820 Faber Place Drive, Suite 600, N. Charleston, SC 29405 on May 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Bids received after 1:00 p.m. will be rejected and returned to the Bidder unopened.

All bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bid securities of the three low bidders will be retained until Contract award and execution.

Bids will be binding for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date bids are opened.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount.

Bids are to be submitted on the bid form provided, enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, contractor's license number, identification of contract being bid and name of project. All bids must comply with the laws of the State of South Carolina.

THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, WAIVE INFORMALITIES AND AWARD THE CONTRACT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE OWNER.
