Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport - Reconstruct Airfield Guidance Signs; RW 3-21 Lighting; TW Lighting (20031)

The project includes the rehabilitation of the Airport’s taxiway and runway edge lights and signage. The scope includes:

1. Replace airfield guidance signs
2. Update existing taxiway nomenclature to alpha numeric designations
3. Replace HIRLs, threshold lights, MITLS with LED fixtures
4. Replace Air Carrier Apron flood lights and poles
5. Replace existing plastic base cans
6. Relocate RW 3 supplemental wind cone
7. Replacing circuit regulators and cables
8. Replacing ALCMS
9. Straightening TW A pavement edge of between TW C & A4
10. Replace the rotating beacon and rehabilitate or replace the existing tower

Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of not less than 5 percent of the total amount bid. A Contract Performance Bond and a Contract Payment Bond each equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price will be required for the successful Contractor. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 120 calendar days after the date of receiving bids.
