Charlotte, NC - Briar Creek-Green Oaks Storm Drainage Improvement Project (PMSW201651)

The Briar Creek/Green Oaks Storm Drainage Improvement Project will replace failing infrastructure within an existing City Storm Water easement. Current failures of the existing culvert pose a threat to residents, vehicle traffic, and apartment homes. This project will replace, rehabilitate and relocate the drainage system to ensure public safety within the easement. An existing 11’ x 7’ CMP arch culvert under apartments at 1341 Briar Creek Rd will be replaced with a 13’ x 5’ RCBC culvert. The new culvert will have a different alignment than the existing pipe to minimize impact to the property residents. A portion of the existing 11’ x 7’ CMP arch culvert under 1341 Briar Creek Rd will be left in place and rehabilitated. An existing 30'' RCP pipe draining Green Oaks Ln currently runs directly under several apartment homes. The existing 30'' pipe will be replaced with a 36'' RCP moved away from the apartment foundation to reduce risk of foundation failure.
