Merry Hill, NC - Bertie County Tall Glass of Water Project - Phase 1

Bertie County’s investment in the TGOW 147-acre property will be the first public beach access to recreational waters in Northeastern North Carolina. Phase 1 includes the construction of a picnic pavilion, beach access, hiking trails, visitor parking and creation of several landscape and recreational features.

Bertie County will receive sealed single prime, lump sum bids from qualified licensed Contractors for the construction of Tall Glass of Water – Phase I at 243 Bal Gra Rd, Merry Hill, NC, 27957. After which time, bids will be publicly opened and read. Deliver sealed bids to Mr. William Roberson, Finance Office Director, Bertie County, 106 Dundee St, Windsor NC 27983.

Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid to be submitted as part of the bid submission in the form of cash, certified check or bid bond.

Performance and Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount will be required.

Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages.

Bertie County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive bid discrepancies pursuant to law.

Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after receipt of bids.

A printed bid set is $140.00 plus applicable sales tax.

A printed bid set & USB Drive with PDF files for $165.00 plus applicable sales tax.

A set is also available for download from this site in PDF for $105.00 plus applicable sales tax. Downloads do not include addenda, they are all available on the "Addenda" tab of this page. Once payment is secured, you will receive an email that your files are ready to download from your account.

Purchase of entire bid set includes all plans and specifications, including any addenda released at time of order. Planholders will be notified by email when future addenda are issued and it will be the responsibility of each plan holder to download the addenda. Shipping, if required, will be charged to each order.

Existing planholders will be notified by email upon the release of any addenda. Failure to order bid sets through Duncan-Parnell may prevent you from being notified of issued addenda. Printed copies of addendum will be available at no additional charge. Shipping, if required will be charged. Contact your local Duncan-Parnell office to request a printed set of addenda files.
