Marion, NC - Lincoln Ave. Culvert Replacement

The City of Marion, NC is requesting bids for the replacement of the Lincoln Ave. Culvert that consists of construction of approximately 60 feet of 10.5’x12’ RCBC. Additionally, this will require other drainage, curb & gutter, paving, and waterline relocation.

Mailed bids will be received at the City of Marion, P.O. Drawer 700 Marion, NC 28752-0700. Hand delivered bids on the day of bid opening will be received at the City of Marion 194 North Main Street Marion, NC 28752, at which time, the BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud.

A Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposed overall bid amount must accompany each proposal in order to be considered. The Bid security may be in the form of cash, a certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Marion, a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an acceptable Surety Agency licensed to conduct business in North Carolina. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of bid opening except as may be allowed under North Carolina General Statutes.

Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instruction to Bidders.

The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive formalities, to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids. The BIDDER to whom a contract may be awarded shall fully comply with the requirements of all North Carolina General Statutes governing the practice of general contracting. No BIDDER may withdraw his BID within 90 calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
