All General Contractors are required to be represented by an employee of their respective companies at the conference.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a cashier’s check issued by or a certified check drawn on a bank of trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation payable to Sampson County, North Carolina in an amount of five percent (5%) of the gross amount of the proposal or by a bond in the above amount executed in accordance with and conditioned as prescribed by G.S. 143-129, State of North Carolina. If the successful bidder fails to give satisfactory surety as required by law, the Owner will retain the above deposit. All contractors are hereby notified that they shall be properly licensed under the state laws governing their trades.

The Sampson County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive minor deviations or defects, and to cancel the Bid Process at any time.

The successful General Contractor will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond for 100% of Contract Amount after selection.

Sampson County encourages participation by female, minority, and veteran owned businesses in all County construction contracts pursuant to G.S. 143-128.2, State of North Carolina.
