2.01 BID SUBMISSION
A. Bids signed and sealed, executed, and dated will be received at the Iredell Statesville Schools Facilities and Planning, 350 Old Murdock Road, Troutman, NC. To the attention of Mr. Scott Hager until 1:00 pm local daylight time on the 19th of January 2021.
B. Offers submitted after the above time shall be returned to the bidder unopened.
C. A public bid opening will occur at the aforementioned time. A certified bid tab will be issued within 10 business days of the receipt of the bids.
D. Amendments to the submitted offer will be permitted if received in writing prior to bid closing and if endorsed by the same party or parties who signed and sealed the offer.
2.02 INTENT
A. The intent of this Bid request is to obtain an offer to perform work to construct the Addition and Renovations to the Lakeshore Elementary School in Mooresville, North Carolina for a Stipulated Sum contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents.
2.03 WORK IDENTIFIED IN THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS
Work of this proposed Contract comprises of site work, general construction, electrical,
technology, HVAC, fire protection and plumbing as indicated within the Construction
Documents.
2.05 CONTRACT TIME
A. Contract Time shall be 8 months from written notice to proceed which will occur after the Iredell Statesville School’s February 2021 board meeting.

3.01 DEFINITIONS
A. Bid documents: Contract Documents supplemented with Instructions to Bidders and Bid Form.
B. Contract Documents: Defined in AIA A201 Article 1 including issued Addenda.
C. Bid, Offer, or Bidding: Act of submitting an offer under seal.
D. Bid Amount: Monetary sum identified by the Bidder in the Bid Form.
3.02 CONTRACT DOCUMENTS IDENTIFICATION
A. The Contract Documents are identified as Project Number 3603.00, as prepared by Adams + Associates Architecture located at 126 North Main Street Mooresville, NC 281
15, and the contents as identified in the Project Manual.
3.03 AVAILABILITY
A. Electronic access to Bid Documents by Adams +Associates Architecture of 126 N. Main Street in Mooresville, NC for viewing or printing may be obtained from Duncan Parnell via their bid room http://www.dpibidroom.com. Monday thru Friday 8:00am -5:00pm. Contractors are responsible for the printing of the documents if hard copies are needed.
B. Bid Documents are made available only for the purpose of obtaining offers for this project. Their use does not grant a license for other purposes.
C. Bidding documents, consisting of drawings, specifications, instructions, and forms, may be obtained on or after 8:00am on December 14, 2020. Documents will be provided to prime bidders only.
