ECU - Wright Building Renovation – Innovation Hub

The project is an approximately 16,000 sf renovation of the former bookstore to house a new “Innovation Hub” which will serve as the incubator for entrepreneurs to develop ideas for potential products, services, and business. Project spaces include a Teaching Lab, Makerspace (3-D printers and light fabrication equipment), open Ideation Area, Team Rooms, Offices and Conference Room. ROTC will have a small suite consisting of two office with a reception area and a dedicated ROTC Classroom. Existing Restrooms will receive a complete renovation to bring them into compliance with ADA. Infrastructure improvements include new HVAC, Fire Alarm and Sprinkler systems.

An Owner Preferred Brand Alternates Meeting will be held for all interested parties on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 @ 1:30pm on the ground floor of Wright Hall at the location of the proposed Innovation Hub project. Bid Info:   Sealed proposals will be received at ECU Facilities Engineering & Architectural Services, 1001 E. 4th Street, Greenville, NC, for the construction of the Wright Building Renovation – Innovation Hub at which time and place bids will be opened and read.

Designer will issue instructions by Addendum for teleconferencing or videoconferencing to attend the Virtual Bid Opening. Designer will also issue instructions by Addendum for Bidders who desire to attend the Bid Opening in person. See N.C. Department of Administration “New Guidelines for Construction Meetings, Bids” appended to Section 011000 “Summary” in the Project Manual.

Any print order placed on this site includes all plans and specifications, including any addenda released at the time of order. Planholders will be notified by email when future addenda are issued. It is the responsibility of each plan holder to download the addenda. Shipping, if required, will be charged to each order.
