Raleigh, NC - Stormwater Drainage Assistance Program - Bundle Project #1

Work for the Project will include the construction of two (2) storm water drainage assistance projects as listed below. The work includes the construction of repairs and/or improvements to existing storm drainage infrastructure, open channels, and streams on private property, City property and City rights-of-way.

Each project should be bid individually using the “Bid Schedule of Prices”. It is the intent of the City of Raleigh to award both projects to the same contractor based on the cumulative total of both projects.

The work will consist of but is not necessarily limited to clearing, grading, excavation, storm sewer pipe removal, replacement, and repair, storm drainage structure removal and installation, outlet stabilization, open channel stabilization, utility adjustments, curb and gutter, paving, traffic control, erosion and sediment control, landscaping, topsoil, seeding, mulching and other related items. Work shall include any associated work as indicated on the plans, in the specifications, in the bid schedule of prices, or as directed by the Project Engineer.

Hargett Street, Raleigh, N. C., the sealed proposals will be publicly opened.

From Wednesday May 8, 2019 until the date of opening the proposals, plans and specifications of the proposed work are and will continue to be on file in the office of the Stormwater Drainage Assistance Program, 127 W. Hargett Street, Raleigh, North Carolina, during usual office hours, and are available to prospective bidders. No proposal will be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing, the same shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, or certified check on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC and authorized to do business in North Carolina in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. In the alternative, a five percent (5%) bid bond issued by a corporate surety licensed by the State of North Carolina may be filed with the proposal. Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the General Statues of North Carolina and must comply with nondiscrimination provisions. The City is an equal opportunity Municipality/Owner and invites small and minority contractors to bid. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.

Purchase of entire bid set includes all plans and specifications, including any addenda released at time of order. Planholders will be notified by email when future addenda are issued and it will be the responsibility of each plan holder to download the addenda. Shipping, if required, will be charged to each order.

Existing planholders will be notified by email upon the release of any addenda. Failure to order bid sets through Duncan-Parnell may prevent you from being notified of issued addenda. Printed copies of addendum will be available at no additional charge. Shipping, if required will be charged. Contact your local Duncan-Parnell office to request a printed set of addenda files.
