Lincoln County NC - Senior Services Center (RFB 2018-1206)

This project involves to renovate 17,700 SF of a one-story, previously occupied and improved medical office building. The project is to fully demolish the interior improvements, structural elements and other building elements such as electrical panels as noted on contract documents. Exterior façade and roof are assumed to be in adequate condition and not subject to any major modifications.
New design work shall include work to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA and NC State Building Codes Accessibility based on ANSI 117.
Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design is to fully demolish interior space. It is the intent to maintain electrical service panels in their existing location per contract documents. It is assumed that the existing HVAC equipment, including roof top units will be fully demolished and replaced. All new LED lighting is proposed throughout the space and designed to meet the correct color balance for the intended use. Building is not sprinklered; therefore, sprinkler engineering or design work is not included. Fire Protection shall mean the design and specification of a fire alarm system and code required devices.
Emergency power does not exist at the facility and is not anticipated.
This work includes General Demolition and Construction, Electrical Demolition and Construction, Mechanical Demolition and Construction, and Plumbing Demolition and Construction, all as indicated on the Contract Documents.

Bid Info:   Lincoln County is soliciting Formal Sealed Bids for RFB 2018-1206 LINCOLN COUNTY SENIOR SERVICES CENTER from qualified general contractors to Lincoln County Manager’s Office c/o Mr. John Henry.
All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and plainly labeled on the outer most package ”RFB- 2018-1206 LINCOLN COUNTY SENIOR SERVICES CENTER.” The inside and outside package shall include the Contractor’s License Number.
The public opening and reading aloud of the bids will be in the Board of Commissioner’s Room, located on the Third Floor of the James W, Warren Citizen Center located at 115 West Main Street in Lincolnton, NC 28092.

This project may be partially or fully funded by the State Revolving Fund (SRF) and as such is subject to Federal rules and regulations as stated in the project specifications including the Davis-Bacon Act and the American Iron and Steel Provisions.

Lincoln County reserves the right to reject all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to cancel the Bid Process at any time.

Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the work as described in the Instructions to Bidders.
