Charlotte NC - Lyon Court Storm Drainage Improvement Project (671-10-011)

The Lyon Court Storm Drainage Improvement Project is located in Plaza Midwood between The Plaza to the west, Belvedere Ave. to the north, Commonwealth Ave. to the south, and Club Rd. to the east. The purpose of the project is to reduce structural and roadway flooding along with reducing stream erosion. It is within a drainage area of approximately 300 acres and improvements include culvert replacements, pipe system upgrades and channel improvements. Work includes: Removal of existing storm drainage and installation of new reinforced concrete pipe, reinforced concrete box culverts, catch basins, junction boxes and headwalls; foundation protection; removal and replacement of valley gutter, driveways and pavement; installation of retaining walls; water and sewer relocations; traffic control, grading, and other related activities.

Bidders must be properly licensed under North Carolina state law to perform the work. A 5% bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds $300,000.
The estimated cost of this Project is $13,163,981.00.
