Mt Pleasant SC - Moultrie Middle School Addition (18-CMG-B-024)

Moultrie Middle School is an existing school located at 645 Coleman Blvd., Mount Pleasant, SC. Moultrie Middle School is approximately 122,000 square feet with 77,000 square feet on the first floor and 50,000 square feet on the second floor. The existing building was designed for a student population of 900 with a core designed for 1,200 students allowing for future expansion. The general scope is to provide three two-story additions, one at the end of each classroom wing. The location of the additions was considered during the original design. The additions were planned for typical classrooms and were to extend 33’-6” from the end of the wings. Based on current program needs a science lab is being included in each wing addition, which required the wing additions to extend 46’-8”. Each new wing addition will be approximately 6,350 square feet for a total of 19,050 square feet of additions. The new additions will match the existing construction. In addition, and Exploratory Classroom Building is designed to bid as an Alternate to the Project. This building is approximately 4,500 square feet and will be constructed adjacent to the Northern most wing of the school.

Bid Info:   Sealed bids for the Moultrie Middle School Addition (Solicitation No. 18-CMG-B-024) will be received from qualified bidders, properly licensed under the laws of the State of South Carolina, opened and read aloud by the Owner and Program Manager at the Office of Cumming Construction Management, Inc., 3820 Faber Place Drive, Suite 600, N. Charleston, SC 29405. Bids received after 2:00 p.m. will be rejected and returned to the Bidder unopened.

All bids are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bid securities of the three low bidders will be retained until Contract award and execution.

Bids will be binding for a period of sixty (60) calendar days from the date bids are opened.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount.

Bids are to be submitted on the bid form provided, enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, contractor's license number, identification of contract being bid and name of project. All bids must comply with the laws of the State of South Carolina.

THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL BIDS, WAIVE INFORMALITIES AND AWARD THE CONTRACT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE OWNER.

Planholders will be notified by email when future addenda are issued and it will be the responsibility of each plan holder to download the addenda. Shipping, if required, will be charged to each order.

ADDENDA DISTRIBUTION

Existing planholders will be notified by email upon the release of any addenda. Failure to order bid sets through Duncan-Parnell may prevent you from being notified of issued addenda. Printed copies of addendum will be available at no additional charge. Shipping, if required will be charged. Contact your local Duncan-Parnell office to request a printed set of addenda files.
