Glassy Creek Stream Restoration Project (672-09-005)

This project includes restoration and enhancement of 3,264 existing linear feet (LF) of Glassy Creek as part of a habitat and water quality improvement project for mitigation credit. The project’s existing channels have been historically straightened, are vertically incised, and lack in-channel habitat features. All reaches of Glassy Creek are designed to improve the dimension, sinuosity, and profile of the channel using natural channel design techniques. This project will increase the onsite stream length to 3,633 LF. One structural storm water quality Best Management Practice (BMP) is also proposed near the downstream project extent. Construction activities include, but are not limited to, clearing and grubbing, erosion and sediment control, grading new stream channel and floodplain, installing in-stream structures, and final planting and stabilization.
