Bid Info:   Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 p.m. on July 19, 2012, in the Cabarrus County Schools Facilities Offices, 4425 Old Airport Road, Concord, NC, at which time and place bids will be opened and read. Bidders shall provide separate bids for each project. Each Bid shall be separate and shall be placed in a sealed envelope with a stated note regarding the bid package it pertains to. The designer will review all submittals by each contractor for a technical evaluation before bids are awarded.

Public Notes:
These projects are subject to the requirements of Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCB), which are contained within Contract Documents.

All bidders are notified that the provisions of NCGS 143-128, including guidelines for minority business enterprise participation shall be observed in letting and executing the work.

Bidders are also notified that they must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their respective trades and that applicable provisions of Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts for the work.

No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to award contract to other than the low bidder should it be deemed in their best interest. Engineer will review all submittals by each contractor for a technical evaluation before bids are awarded.

All bidders should be aware that these projects are funded using Federal stimulus monies. One of the requirements for this program is to use American made products. A second requirement is that all applicable wage rates (Davis-Bacon) for Cabarrus County must be utilized for the work and reporting of wages paid to workers will be required, per the bid specifications.

It shall be the bidders responsible to get copies of the drawings and specifications for each bid.
