Contract 1 – 5 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant consisting of the construction of a new 5 MGD wastewater treatment plant including headworks, oxidation ditch, clarification, tertiary filters, effluent pump station, sludge handling, chemical feed building, and all necessary piping, sitework, electrical, and controls.
Contract 2 – Force Main consisting of the installation of 12,678 LF of 30-inch PVC force main including all fittings and testing.
Contract 3 – Rapid Infiltration Basins consisting of the construction of ten (10) rapid infiltration basins including drains, piping, grading, and all associated construction activities.

Sealed bids for the construction of the BUCKSPORT WWTP 10 MGD RAPID INFILTRATION project will be received by the Grand Strand Water & Sewer Authority at the Administrative Center until 2:00 PM, on August 7, 2012.
The project is being funded by a loan from the State Revolving Fund and therefore bidders must comply with all applicable requirements identified in the contract documents. A requirement of this project is that prospective bidders must implement procedures that ensure DBE firms are given opportunities for meaningful participation if subcontracts are awarded. The goal stated in the contract documents for participation by DBE firms is 8%.
The Contract Documents may be examined at the Grand Strand Water & Sewer Authority’s Administrative Center at 166 Jackson Bluff Road, (off Highway 544), Conway, South Carolina.
