Erskine College - McCain Library, Philomathean Hall, Grier Hall and Pressly Hall Selective Roof Replacement Projects

Base Bid work includes total removal of existing roofing systems down to the structural deck on the McCain Library for approximately 100 squares of roof. Roof replacement includes minor deck repairs, rough carpentry, roof insulation, including taper, and a three-ply and modified cap sheet roof system. All associated sheet metal components and accessories are included. Removal of minor, non-friable asbestos containing roof materials is included. Alternate Number 1 work includes removal of existing standing seam terne roofing system down to the structural deck on Philomathean Hall for approximately 27 squares of roof. Roof replacement includes minor deck repairs, rough carpentry, and a standing seam copper roof system. All associated sheet metal components and accessories are included. Modification of the built–in gutter system is included. Alternate Number 2 work includes removal of existing aggregate surfaced built-up roof system and terne roof systems down to the structural decks on Grier Hall for approximately 4 squares of roof. Roof replacement includes minor deck repairs, rough carpentry, three-ply and modified cap sheet roof system and a flat seam copper roof system. All associated sheet metal components and accessories are included. Modification of the built–in gutter system is included. Alternate Number 3 work includes removal of existing terne roofing systems down to the structural deck on Pressly Hall for approximately 1 square of roof. Roof replacement includes minor deck repairs, rough carpentry, and a flat seam copper roof system. Bids must be on standard forms furnished by the Consultant/Engineer.
