Bid Info:   Sealed proposals will be received until 3:30 p.m. on May 2, 2012, in the Cabarrus County Schools Facilities Offices, 4425 Old Airport Road, Concord, NC, for the Northwest Cabarrus High School HVAC Controls Upgrade at which time and place bids will be opened and read.

Public Notes:
All bidders are notified that the provisions of NCGS 143-128, including guidelines for minority business enterprise participation shall be observed in letting and executing the work.

Bidders are also notified that they must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their respective trades and that applicable provisions of Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts for the work.

Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance Bond and separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the full amount of the contract shall be submitted prior to executing the work.

No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to award contract to other than the low bidder should it be deemed in their best interest.

All bidders should be aware that this project is funded using Federal Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCB). One of the requirements for this program is to use American made products. A second requirement is that all applicable wage rates (Davis-Bacon) for Cabarrus County must be utilized for the work and reporting of wages paid to workers will be required, per the bid specifications.
