BB&T Right Turn Lane and Pedestrian Crosswalk at Widewaters Parkway

The work includes: construction of turn lane, signalization and pedestrian improvements at the Southeast and Southwest Quadrants of the intersection Widewaters Parkway and Knightdale Boulevard in Knightdale. All contractors bidding on this project must be pre-qualified by the North Carolina Department of Transportation in order to be considered for contract award. All Contractors must have proper licenses as required under the state laws governing their respective trades. On all federally funded contracts, non-licensed contractors are permitted to submit bids; however, they must be licensed prior to performing any work. They are permitted 60 days, after bid opening, to become licensed by the North Carolina Licensing Board. If they fail to do so within 60 days, their bid will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this project is 3%. Subcontractors must be certified by NCDOT as a DBE in order for their participation to count towards the goal. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid total. The Town of Knightdale reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids.
